Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth/ good fortune, beauty and auspiciousness. She is typically portrayed as standing on a 100 petal lotus in the ocean of milk. Her four arms signify Purity, Prosperity, Perfection and Freedom from bondage and the gold coins continuously flowing out of her left hand represents endless material prosperity. The four elephants seen in her pictures denote four directions and faithfulness. Her right hand denotes blessing and assurance of safety to her devotees.
Similarly, All of us yearn for Peace and Prosperity in our lives. We want to be just right and perfect. We want to be free from Negativity and slavery of our mind from Negative thoughts. We want clarity on directions in life…which road to take and which one to avoid.
Lakshmi Jee will make sure that we get everything we wish for and aspire for provided we commit ourself to be honest all the times in all given situations. Honest not to the World but to the inner self as it’s easy to cheat outsiders and not one own self. She will keep us safe from any adverse consequences if we are honest and faithful to our inner self. Once we achieve this, the prosperity and wealth will follow.
Clean your Homes and Souls:
It is believed that Lakshmi Jee only resides in those homes which are clean and where the people are Hardworking .Cleaning of Homes and souls both are important aspects and no one can be ignored. We have heard number of times that…”God Help those who help themselves”. So, for Lakshmi jee to come in to our lives we should be willing to work towards achieving it .For example: If one wants to climb Mountain, The mountain will not come to him , instead he will have to work hard to reach there. In the same manner, Only praying for wealth will not get one Wealth, we will have to work hard to earn the same.
Keep the Diya of Learning Alive:
It is said that this goddess would bless those who purify their souls with the oil of knowledge and those who keep learning. Learning is an ongoing process and not one time thing . There is Learning in everything around us. It is upto us how we take the same. For Example: A pilot who has been flying for 25 years can also learn from a fresh newly appointed Pilot and take New Generation Insights.
Lakshmi Jee takes care of the learning souls so that it can be rekindled just as the flame of Diyas which is why Diyas are lighted and our houses are cleaned to welcome the Goddess on this occasion.

Lakshmi jee stays with those who Respect her and not the ones who do not understand its worth. Through out times Goddess Laxmi has never stayed with gamblers and people who do not respect her.
